Our probject for Warrnambool Cheese & Butter (WCB) dairy factory flooring isv vital for dairy production. The company has been operating for over 125 years; it is the oldest dairy processor in Australia today and WCB has been listed on the Australian Stock Exchange since 2004. In 2014, Saputo Inc, a Montreal based Canadian dairy company, acquired 87.92% of WCB shares.
The Warrnambool Cheese and Butter is one of the largest employers in southwest Victoria, employing over 450 people across sites in Allansford, Mount Gambier and Port Melbourne.
In meeting the demands of the international market, with a focus on Asia which comprises 50% of sales, ROXSET SE was selected for its ability to provide a seamless easy to clean, slip resistant surface. With strict regulations around OH&S, AQIS and Export Compliance programs, ROXSET was able to provide a superior level of Hygiene and Safety.
The heavy-duty formulation offers superior chemical resistance and the ability to resist a high degree of acidity in the production process while the anti microbial nature provides protection against a range of bacterial organisms including EColi and Salmonella Typhi.
WCB provide an exclusive range of milk and cheese products to Coles Supermarkets. Within key manufacturing areas such as for cheese, milk powders, whey protein concentrate, butter, cream and packaged milk, ROXSET provided slip resistant surfaces to over 4000+sqm.
The challenges included working around constrained shut down times, dynamic work areas and fixed equipment such as large vessel tanks, evaporation Vats and state of the art processing units.
WCB commented that the ROXSET SE3 multi-layered system transformed their plant to a more efficient and safe working environment and with the back of a large in-house team to provide a rapid turnaround of programed areas will give WCB excellent return on investment over the long term.
