Oakvale Winery

Established in 1893, this is one of the oldest working wineries in the Hunter Valley in one of Australia’s oldest and most well-known wine regions. They came to us for new Winery cellar flooring.

Family owned and operated by the Becker Family, Oakvale are passionate about all facets of wine making. Under the guidance of Wine Maker, James Becker they consistently strive to produce unique and distinctive premium handcrafted wines which is a true refection of both the region and an uncompromising approach to wine making. Richard Becker, who is a very well regarded Australian Film Distributor, has recently upgraded his 120 year old historic winery.

As part of the $1 million refurbishment, ROXSET were chosen to complete the installation of specialised coatings for the cellar door, wine cellar production areas and the external veranda. To complement the state of the art finishes throughout the winery, huge plate-glass windows were installed to allow visitors to see and experience of the complete wine making process. Particularly striking is the Becker’s families choice of the brilliant white epoxy finish, called Surf Mist to cover 500sqm of the production area and cellar door.

Verandah areas were coated with ROXSET Mang Black Stone carpet, providing a highly aesthetic and unique finish.

The Roxset coating solutions will ensure that the working surfaces will not be compromised by contamination, chemical degradation or cracking which could cause spoilage to the wine. This coating is also slip resistant and easy to clean.
