Goodman Fielder Food Safe Flooring
Australia’s largest food manufacturer Goodman Fielder required state-of-the-art food safe flooring for its new 14,000sqm production facility at Erskine Park. ROXSET was chosen as the prime applicator having extensive experience working in the food industry over many years.
Goodman Fielder closed its oils processing facility at Mascot in its drive for increased manufacturing efficiency. Its 14000sqm new factory is part of rationalizing and consolidating the manufacturing base by closing inefficient plants in a move to optimize extensive distribution systems.
Under a new build program, ROXSET installed Urethane anti-microbial floor safe flooring finishes across 6000sqm of production area to process home ingredients. A 2500sqm trowel-on 5mm resin finish with coving was completed in just one week. This floor finish delivers round the clock protection against a range of bacteria and also inhibits the growth of mould and fungi.
It is critical in a key food environment that the flooring system meets the requirements of HACCP and AQIS compliance, ROXSET deliver the maximum slip resistance up to R13 set out under the guidelines of the HACCP auditing matrix.
The continuous seamless resin finish protects against the propagation of superbugs. A hygienic and impervious coating will also provide maximum slip resistance and clean-ability.
In addition to heat resistance, ROXSET install a flooring system, which will withstand temperatures as low as -40Deg C making it suitable for use in chiller/freezer rooms. Intensive food manufacturing facilities such as Goodman Fielder require a superior coating product which provides resistance to food acidity found in many food substances such as milk, sugar, cola and juices.
