Problem
Ruby & Roy knew after years of challenges in their older factory with non performing flooring issues, resulting in frustrating down time and cost, that the floor coating in their new factory would need to maintain a hygienic durable surface despite the challenging working conditions that are unavoidable within large scale dairy production, this can include heavy equipment, intense clearing regimes, corrosive by-products, thermal shock and frequent foot and forklift traffic.
Solution
To ensure the floor was up to the demands of this environment, a high performance resin solution from ROXSET was chosen, they have a proven track record working with the Food and Dairy Industry and delivered a unique bespoke system to match the Ruby and Roy colour requirements in vibrant red and blue.
Over a period of 12 months Ruby & Roy carried out major renovations to their facilities, including the flooring installation of 1000sqm of ROXSET SE 3 in the production areas along with 500lm of hygienic coving mortar and ROXSET SE 1 in the Warehouse and Bulk storage area.
ROXSET SE offers excellent slip, wear, temperature and chemical resistance, and is suitable for steam and hot water cleaning processes. The HACCP BRC FSANZ certified coating offers exceptional durability and in addition the antimicrobial infusion offers total protection against a number of bacteria, including E-coli and salmonella making it the ideal choice for this specialised project.
